I will give you a tip to save your money when you purchase something online.
When you are purchasing multiple items, do not buy items that offer free shipping.
Online Sellers often offers free shipping to grab buyer's attention, and when you buy free shipping items, you feel like you have saved money for shipping. When a seller list something online to sell with free shipping, the price actually includes shipping fee and other fees for sub material. For example, I would like to sell an eraser online, and I want to offer a free shipping. Let's say that market price of an eraser is $1 and regular shipping price is $3.99. Because I do not want to pay shipping fee with my own expense, I would set the price of eraser to 4.99+ Free shipping,a price that is actually includes shipping cost. On the other hand, another seller list the same eraser to $1(actual price of an eraser) + 3.99(shipping Fee). So far, the price is the same.
Let's say a buyer wants to buy 3 erasers. When a buyer purchases 3 erasers from me, order total will be $14.97 ($4.99*3 erasers). while the other offers $3+$3.99(shipping). Now, Do you see the difference? The shipping price is usually based on weight or price bind. Weight based shipping rate is more heavier items you order, shipping cost will increase. Price bind shipping rate is when your order total is getting bigger, you shipping cost will increase, however, most of sellers who uses price bind shipping rate, they usually offer free shipping when you purchase more than certain amount. (ex, free shipping with purchase above $100).
In conclusion, shipping cost really doesn't matter when you are purchasing single item, but beware of overprice of free shipping items when you are purchasing multiple items.
